The NSIA Foundation carried out a mission from 21 to 28 June 2017, in Douala, Cameroon, to present its new orientations.

The NSIA Foundation places women at the heart of its social actions in Cameroon. « The subsidiary of Cameroon had already developed an action for women by supporting the sewing school. We opted for women because they are the most injured. Our goal is to develop all the actions so that the countries where the subsidiaries are installed can benefit from them, « clarifies Régis Ségbénou, executive director of the Foundation interviewed by poleafrique.info.

From 21 to 28 June 2017, a mission of the Foundation visited Douala in Cameroon. According to the report, this mission « was an opportunity to present to the authority the missions and the will of the foundation to act on behalf of the people of Cameroon especially for girls and women. It is for the NSIA Group to return part of its earnings to the community through social and community actions in accordance with its social and societal policy. The text reaffirms the will of the President of the NSIA Group, President Jean Kacou DIAGOU, to make the empowerment of women and the education of young girls a reality wherever the NSIA Group is installed and in this case of Cameroon.

The mission that stayed in Cameroon presented the new orientations of the Foundation to the Directors General and Deputy Directors General of the subsidiaries. The emissaries drew up an inventory of the project of renovation of the house of the Woman. They have established partnerships that can help deploy the Foundation’s actions in the country. A presentation of the Foundation’s actions was made to show its pan-African character. The laying of the first stone of the reading point in Guinea, the rehabilitation of the teaching farm Tshanfeto in Côte d’Ivoire, the construction of a box of toddlers in Senegal are, among others, projects presented. « During our meeting with Mr. Emmanuel FORSON, CEO of YooMee Cameroon, we obtained his agreement in principle to accompany us in our actions in Cameroon. He also promised to accompany us as part of the rehabilitation of POUMA’s House of Women Promotion by offering equipment for computer practice, « says the mission group.
